John Deere confirmed as Official Machinery Partner for the 2026 Solheim Cup

John Deere has been announced as the official golf course and turf maintenance machinery partner for the 2026 Solheim Cup, set to take place at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands from 7–13 September 2026. The partnership brings John Deere’s extensive experience in world-class course preparation to one of the most prestigious events in women’s sport, while reinforcing the tournament’s strong sustainability ambitions.

The agreement positions John Deere at the centre of the Solheim Cup, formalising a collaboration between the global machinery manufacturer, its Dutch dealer Kraakman, and the team at host venue Bernardus Golf. Together, the partners will ensure the course is presented to championship standards for a worldwide audience.

Paul Trowman, John Deere’s Golf and Turf Business Manager, said the partnership underlines the company’s long-standing commitment to elite professional sport. “This partnership allows us to showcase how advanced machinery, data-led course management and high service standards can support top-level competition,” he said. “Bernardus Golf is an outstanding venue, managed by a team operating at the highest level. With John Deere machinery and support, the greenkeeping team will be fully equipped to present the course at its very best.”

Local John Deere dealer Kraakman will supply the full machinery fleet for the event, alongside providing technical expertise in the lead-up to and throughout the tournament. The dealership is already working closely with Bernardus Golf to ensure the correct equipment is in place and will deliver comprehensive training, monitoring, parts supply and on-site technical support for course staff and mechanics.

Wim van Remortele, Commercial Manager for Golf and Turf at Kraakman, highlighted the scale of preparation required. “Tournament preparation takes months of planning and expertise to ensure the course meets competition standards and looks exceptional for a global audience,” he said. “Our role is to maximise quality, efficiency and precision across all operations. Because of our long-term partnership with Bernardus Golf, we’ll be supporting the venue before, during and after the event. Hosting the Solheim Cup is the pinnacle of women’s golf, and we are proud to represent John Deere on home soil at such a landmark moment for the brand.”

The 2026 Solheim Cup will mark the 20th edition of the biennial contest between Europe and the United States and aims to set a new standard for environmentally responsible sporting events. Sustainability initiatives include reduced on-site parking in favour of low-emission transport, integrated ticketing and last-mile solutions such as dedicated bike routes. Additional measures will focus on renewable energy use, waste reduction, circular material sourcing, local catering, water-efficient course management and active nature restoration.

Bernardus Golf Superintendent Niall Richardson said the partnership provides confidence heading into the intensive preparation period. “For an event of this scale, I need equipment that performs reliably every day,” he said. “Working with John Deere gives our team the support and dependability required to prepare the course to championship level. Their electric and hybrid technologies, combined with the data insights they provide, allow us to operate more efficiently and sustainably—both now and into the future.”

John Deere’s market-leading technology, including electric and hybrid equipment, aligns closely with the Solheim Cup’s sustainability goals. Mowers, bunker rakes and utility vehicles will feature full or hybrid electric drive systems, while satellite-guided sprayers will deliver application accuracy to within 2.5cm. The entire fleet will be managed through John Deere Operations Center PRO Golf, a cloud-based system supporting task planning, machinery oversight and comprehensive course budgeting.

The 2026 Solheim Cup will take place at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands in September 2026.
